Uncut and free cd
« on: September 05, 2005, 02:28:29 PM »

Found this:

New magazine features John Lennon special
The latest issue of Uncut magazine features a John Lennon special. It focuses on the the up-and-coming 25th anniversary of his death on Dec 8th and also what would have been his 65th birthday on Oct 9th.

Included with each copy of this special edition of Uncut magazine is a free CD which features 15 of The Beatles press conferences from 1964-1966, which became like performaces in their own right! The last track on the CD is a recording of John Lennons last interview which was conducted just hours before his death.

For more information, check out Uncut magazine at www.uncut.co.uk.

They sell it in bookstores like Chapters, or magazine stores, but you can't get it at the supermarket checkout or anything.

There's an interview with Yoko, which I haven't read yet. The cd has interviews with The Beatles from 1964 to 1966 in the Bahama's, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan plus an interview with John on the day he was murdered.

i got my copy today, its pretty good, but most of the lennon bit is of just famous people saying where they were when they heard about john's death, and a one page interview with yoko. the free press conferences cd is quite cool, and theres a random bit of (not beatles) music at the end of the last track!(i duno what that about, but if anyone knows please tell me!)..

the end, have you got your's yet?what do you think of it? i thought there might be a bit more on the actual death and stuff, but bassickly all it is is interviewing famous people about where they were when they heard about the death.
