If the Beatles had continued, it may have been in the White Album style with Paul dominant. Look at how prolific he was in his solo career. I think John was accurate in telling dejected fans to string together their solo efforts if they wanted to hear another Beatles album. Seventies Beatles would have been soloists whether together or not.
But if they had resolved their differences, I think we would have heard some excellent music. It hurts to think of all the great music they could have produced together but never did. I wonder how their solo stuff would have sounded if they all played together on it. I think it would have been greatly enchanced if not by other musical input or ideas but by the rich alchemy they had together.
Could the Beatles have both stayed together and released occasional solo albums as well?
How often would they have recorded?
I've always wished we had at least one more solid working-together album out of them. I think even something subpar was imbued with a special quality via the Beatles indefinable magic. Their albums would have been cherished regardless of what they did.
