Hi, Normandie and Hello Goodbye, thanks to you !
I agree with you that the Beatles sound especially good on vinyl.
Having begun to listen to them on this support, I waited for a long time before deciding to buy Fab ' 4 albums on CD. With the exception of Live At The BBC, Anthologies, Love, etc, all that I possess of the group is vinyl.
It was only with the arrival of the remasters I invested. I bought the two boxes (mono and stereo).
I've always found the vinyl sound more musical, more natural and with more precise trebles, than CD's. Especially with the first CD's, like the 1987 releases, for example. Abbey Road
has a very bad sound on the 1987 CD. This has been corrected with the 2009 remaster. Same with Please Please Me
. On this particular song, I was happy to find again, and with precision, the groove on Ringo’s drums. Very Nice !
I shall also add that it still misses many things, in the Beatles' CD catalog, as for example the Live At The Hollywood Bowl
, which was still never reissued.
