i used to travel past his house every day on the bus. (true!) it's on the 65 bus route to richmond.
not sure whether he still lived there at the time, but it was well known as being tommy steele's house. if you sat on the top deck you could peer over the wall into the garden, where he had a fake, crumbling old ancient ruin built
