Zero 7

Has anyone heard of this band? If you have then you'd know they're absolutely amazing. It's sort of a fusion between jazz, chill out music, R& B, and electronica. The band started with two studio musician's who got a band together and started to write music. On their first album they recruited Sia Fuller, Mozes and Sophie Barker to take lead vocals on the songs on the album.  Their first album is beautifully mixed with different sounds(musicwise) and it also features great instrumentals on it. Their second album 'When it Falls' was an amazing followup to their critically aclaimed 'Simple Things'. They band got back together with Sia, Mozez and Sophie Barker. They also added another singer Tina Dico(I'm absolutely in love and smitten by her!) to their ranks. I personally think their second album is better than the first. I believe the second album is deeper and more developed than the first. While they came out with a third album called 'The Garden', it was a bit of a departure from the first two albums musicwise. The only vocalist who returned was Sia Furler and they added Jose Gonzalez. 'The Garden' is more of a pop album than what they use to be. I definitely recommend listening to the first two albums. They are fantastic and they are really great to unwind to after a long day. Here are some of their songs.

Destiny(Zero 7 with Sia Furler(The blond) and Sophie Barker(The brown Hair) ) This is off their first album 'Simple Things'

Have both them albums but prefer the first. Great singing, great production and my kind of instrumentation. ;)

It's my kind of instrumentation too. I was like a kid with a new toy when I heard 'Simple Things' and even happier when 'When it Falls'(I didn't like it as much when I first heard it) grew on me to become my favorite of the three. They're a great band and they're pretty huge in the UK right? They're not that well known here, or at least with the people around me. I think everyone should give it a listen because the music has so much great quality.
