True, as to the length of A Day in the Life.... but Light My Fire and Stairway to Heaven and, oh yeah! Hey Jude, get regular airings on FM radio.  Most classic rock stations (at least around here, San Francisco Bay Area) play songs which go much further than the early '60s 3-minute standard.  And thank goodness for it!

I think now that Satellite radio is getting to be more popular, that list might change.  Because we have a couple of stations that like to play more of their lesser known songs.  I think also alot of FM oldies stations get stuck playing the same songs over and over. (I do understand its an odlies station and of course there are no "new" songs, but you know what I mean).

Yeah, me too! What I think is even more surprising is that "(Just Like) Starting Over" is only at #98, even though it was a much bigger hit than "Woman" when it was released as a single from Double Fantasy.  Even "Watching the Wheels" (#53) has "Starting Over" beat.

I was quite shocked that the Live version has received more airplay than not only the studio version of "Maybe I'm Amazed," but also any Beatles song!  Even more surprising is that neither of those songs made #1 in the United States (in fact, only four of the top ten songs on this list made #1).

Keep in mind that "A Day in the Life" is listed twice in this list, once at #52 (whenever it is played by itself), and again at #62 for every time it is played with the "Sgt. Pepper's (Reprise)" intro.  If combined, the total audience for "A Day in the Life" would be 1,030.315, enough to be placed at #26.
