yes well that might work for you but my blundering bon-bons for ears have made far too many mistakes for that to fly as an excuse for my stupidity

oh, dont worry about it! ive made dozens of mistakes, and if i remembered any of them, i would post them. but thats just proof that i have bad memory as well as bad hearing! we all think we hear things, but that doesnt mean we are stupid! its just human nature!

in Get Back, I keep hearing, "Jojo left his home in Tuscon, Arizona, Boston, California grass." then I looked up the actual lyric.

You know, offhand, on George's song 'Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp", the was a deep low voice saying something. I thought it was Billy Preston singing, and I never could for THE LIFE OF ME, figure it out, as that was one of my most favorite songs.
After hearing Beware Of ABKCO, its version, I figured out it was George, saying "Oh Sir Frankie Crisp", on the ATMP version though, his voice seems to be varispeeded down to quite a low pitch, thats why I though it was Billy!

in Dr. Robert, i always used to hear, "Being my friend i tell you to call, Dr. Robert" like, someone recomending their doctor to a friend........

actual lyrics "Ring my friend I said you'd call Dr. Robert,"

(and i still hear this sometimes! i refuse to hear the right lyrics!)

^  Oh my God, after all these years, I never realized that was the right lyric.

Mrs Lennon

In Dear Prudence, I always get 'proud to be/a daisy  chain' instead of 'the clouds will be/a daisy chain', and in She's a Woman' I get 'she don't dis'point me eye' instead of 'she don't give boys the eye'.

haha, my misheard lyric is ridiculous. I used to think that they were singing "Ahhhh look at all the LOVELY people" in Eleanor Rigby. Granted...I was about 7 years old at the time but come on, every lyric in the song describes LONELY people, why would he say "lovely" in the refrain? oh well, I was more into songs like Yellow Submarine back then to be bothered with lyrics about death and despair set to a string quartet.
It's great...it sold...it's the bloody Beatles' White Album, shut up

Mrs Lennon

Oh, wow, I just realised now that in 'Got To Get You Into My Life' the lyric is I was alone, I took a ride instead of I was alone, I took a right. I thought the misheard made sense, so that's how I sang it.

Haha, I remember this thread... too much fun. I always mishear songs ;D

For If You've Got Trouble, when Ringo goes "go and count a ring or two" I used to think it was "go and down a drink or two" ;D

And I don't know if I posted it on here but I used to think I Am The Walrus was a song about conservation and the environment! I didn't know the lyrics properly so I made a funny connection between the bits I knew ;D I thought "you get a tan from standing in the English rain" coz it's acid rain, and the semolina pilchard is "climbing up the Eiffel Tower" coz the water is too polluted so he can't stay in the water. Then there was the "dead dog", and I thought the Walrus said "I'm crying" because of all this damage to the environment (bigeyes1) Big surprise when I actually read the lyrics ;D

And our Mum has really funny mishearings too... for example, in The Night Before instead of "when I held you near, you were so sincere" she heard "when I held your knee" ;D
I'd ask my friends to come and see... an Octopus's Garden with me ^___^
