I agree with George Martin, should've been a single album

USSR
Prudence
While My Guitar
Blackbird
Glass Onion
Savoy Truffle
Warm Gun

Birthday
Yer Blues
Obla Di
Revolution 1
Bungalow Bill
Helter Skelter
Goodnight

That's pretty close to mine. Including the order.  I've got I Will, I'm so tired  Sexy Sadie and Julia in there for Rev 1, Bungalow Bill, glass onion and Birthday. Although Rev 1 and Glass Onion just missed out.

I can see that you sorta gotta have Birthday in there for the fun rave up quality and cultural need for another birthday song . I drew the line at Bungalow though. It has yoko on it.  ;)

And the  £64,000 question. What should have they done with the better rejects?  There's four or five which have some merit at least. The White EP?  Thrown into the Let it Be mix? Held over for solo albums.

My vote would go toward "throw it into the Let It Be mix."

End the White Album With Take Me back and start Let It Be with Get Back and add the leftover WA songs with Upgraded LIB mixes and you could have a strong Feb-March album

This is my fav Beatles LP.  I like every song on this LP (except Revolution 9 & Good Night), so I'm very happy they kept it a double LP!

Too bad, they never released a Single, like "Not Guilty" & " What's The New Mary Jane" around the time of the LP.  glassesslip

The single from the White Album sessions was "Hey Jude"/"Revolution".

The Beatles recorded more music in 1968 than Amy Winehouse managed in eight years!
Thank the Lord that singles weren't routinely plucked off LPs, if they had been they'd never have got past 'Rubber Soul'.

Did "Revolution 9" survive?
