While they're dirt cheap I'm filling my boots with rare and deleted CDs.
However, the one bought yesterday was not dirt cheap - £15 - the most I've ever spent on a single CD!
THE WHO - 'Rarities 1966-1972'.
The 25 tracks were originally divided into two separate LPs:
1. The brilliant, sharp, angular 60s one from '66 to '68 (I got that one).
2. The turgid, languid heavy one from 1970 to 1972 (I didn't get that one!).
Can't see myself ever getting beyond track 15 ('Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde' from '68) but the 'Ready, Steady, Who' EP and their 45s from the 60s are as good as it ever got.
