Was he using the Rick on this or the Hofner? I don’t think the Hofner ever had much sustain but if it was the Rick he should have.

I like quite a bit of Radioheads stuff. Let Down is a great track with nice harmonies.  I think Thom Yorke was upfront saying Karma Police was based on/inspired by Sexy Sadie

I've been getting into Radiohead recently and in particular their album OK Computer. Some great tracks like Paranoid Android.

I'm surprised no-one on this thread mentioned the very strong similarities of the track Karma Police and Sexy Sadie (a nod the The Beatles).

I know Kevin won't like this but here I go anyway.

Well, Kathy, I certainly didn't find Peter Townshend's use of his song in the closing credits of the film "crass" at all.  As far as "divine love" and spirituality goes, Look Who's Talking tells the story of a troubled single unwed mother who by chance meets a man who bonds with her child and soon comes to love the boy as his own.  Indeed, the first words spoken by the boy in their presence is "Dada."  She soon falls in love with him and they marry thus providing the boy with a loving upbringing.

I wish every sad story like this can have such a happy ending.  The closing credits show the miracle of fertilization of an ovum and conception of what will be the boy's half-sister.  And thus, I consider this an example of "divine love" and an appropriate use of Let My Love Open The Door.

I just read that maybe it was a back-up for Billy Preston.

That's also a possibility, zipp.

Was the pianet actually used in the studio during the Get Back sessions?

I'm not sure.  I didn't see it in any of the photographs I've seen.
