Just finished watching. Somehow I expected the visuals to be a bit sharper, like they did with Get Back, but I do see the improvement. And the sound is great. I've had a bootleg copy forever but it's been a while since I've watched it, and I've watched Get Back a number of times since then. I agree with someone who said LIB now looks like a trailer for GB. But both stand on their own, of course.
I've always felt that the Paul/George spat should not have been included in LIB. I think that more than anything fueled the idea that the film chronicled impending breakup. It might not have been seen so much as that if it were left out. But boy, was the revelation of George's quitting in GB a shock to me! I'd never known that before. Did any of you know? Anyway, I'm glad they did this, and I'll probably grab the DVD if and when it comes out.  |

Had a look at the first half on Disney. The picture and sound is a huge improvement over my crappy early 2000s bootleg. Just finished watching Let It Be on Disney + and have to say it looks and sounds brilliant. I've been too swamped to sit down and watch it properly (i.e., with full attention), but it sounds promising. I'm looking forward to kicking back and watching it very soon. |
